Industrea is committed to behave ethically and to contribute to the economic development of its businesses while improving the quality of life for our workforce and their families as well as the local community and society at large. Industrea is engaged in a range of community projects and sponsorships current examples of which are outlined below.

St Vincent de Paul Society - CEO Sleepout 17 June 2010

Would you like to see some of Australia's top business and community leaders sleeping rough on one of the coldest nights of the year?  Our Managing Director & CEO, Robin Levison thinks you would and is asking you to sponsor his effort in the upcoming Vinnies CEO Sleepout in Brisbane on Thursday 17 June 2010.

All money raised will go towards helping Australia's estimated 105,000 homeless men, women and children find the warmth, safety and dignity that they desperately deserve.  It only takes a moment to make a difference.  You can sponsor Robin online or make a donation at www.ceosleepout.org.au.

Major Sponsor - 6th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT6)

China's rapid emergence as an industrial superpower and its impact on rural and village life is captured in two powerful art works by Chinese artist Chen Qiulin to show in the '6th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art' (APT6) at the Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art.

Industrea has proudly sponsored "Xinsheng Town no. 275-277 2009", an entire reconstruction of a traditional house by the Chengdu based artist, within the Gallery of Modern Art.

"Xinsheng Town no. 275-277 2009" comments on China's social and economic transformation, and sits in addition to Chen Qiulin's video work "Garden 2007", which focuses on the livelihoods of flower sellers in the Three Gorges Dam region.

Industrea believes the works are an important contribution to China's modern art heritage and the preservation of traditional values amid its modernisation drive into a leading global economy.

As an active participant in China’s modern economic transformation, Industrea is pleased to support the display of Chen’s work at the region’s flagship contemporary art exhibition. Industrea is committed to being a responsible and ethical corporate citizen in the countries where it operates, including China and Australia.

Flowers are symbolic in Chinese culture of the fragility of life and its potential for renewal, and Chen’s work reflects on her concepts of individual experience, memory and place, according to the Queensland Art Gallery.

Industrea’s history as a global mining products and services provider may be young compared to that of the Middle Kingdom, but like China Industrea shares the common challenge of managing rapid growth for the benefit of all stakeholders.

APT6 will occupy the entire Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) as well as the iconic Watermall and adjoining galleries at the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG). APT6 will include the work of more than 100 artists from 25 countries, including collaborations and collectives, which reflect the diversity of practices across Asia, the Pacific and Australia.

For more details visit the APT6 website.
